Common QuestionsCan I paint over Venetian Plaster?
Yes, as long as it has not been waxed, which we do not recommend. Use a latex or oil-based primer sealer and proceed as for other primed surfaces. If an area of the unprotected Venetian Plaster is damaged, it is easier to repair it than if it was protected with the Venetian Plaster top coat, which would require sanding the dirty area with 600-grit sandpaper and reburnishing. While Venetian Plaster dries quickly, it takes a long time to cure at which point a damp rag may be carefully used to remove the dirt.If I apply a texture to my wall surface using the Venetian Plaster how do I get my wall smooth again for repainting.
